Traffic nightmare? SoFi, forum both host events Wednesday night – CBS Los Angeles

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA) – For the first time ever, SoFi Stadium and Forum will host events on Wednesday night, potentially leading to a blockage as tens of thousands descend on Inglewood.

K-pop superstars BTS will be holding their audience at SoFi for the third of their four sold-out shows, which is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. The adjacent YouTube Theater will also host a BTS dance party, where the concert will be broadcast live.

Meanwhile, the Forum will host “The LA Revival” from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. commemorate World AIDS Day. The sold-out free concert will feature vocalists Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson. it starts at 8 p.m.

SoFi has a capacity of 70,000 to 100,000 depending on the event, while The Forum can accommodate up to 17,500 people.

Event planners and City of Inglewood officials are advising people to come as early as possible. The SoFi Stadium car parks open at noon.

People are also advised to go online and prepay for an onsite or offsite parking spot before traveling to Inglewood, or using public transportation or a rideshare app.

Last summer, Inglewood converted the residential neighborhoods around SoFi Stadium to allow parking only on event days to prevent neighborhoods from being overrun by SoFi attendees.
