Penn College Hosts Boy Scout Merit Badge Opportunity | News, Sports, Jobs

WILLIAMSPORT – Regional Scouts can improve their technical acumen, thanks to faculty mentors and state-of-the-art educational facilities at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

In conjunction with the Susquehanna Council, Boy Scouts of America, the school is hosting Merit Badge College on Saturday, February 19. Scouts can choose from 19 merit badges and earn up to three during the event.

“We are delighted to provide such valuable practical experience to Scouts in the region”, said Bradley M. Webb, dean of engineering technology and coordinator of Merit Badge College. “This is a unique opportunity for them to visit the campus and learn new skills with the help of our professors, who have solid experience in the industry. Earning merit badges during the learning process is a bonus.

Options for Boy Scouts will include architecture, digital technology, electronics, plumbing, sculpting, and soldering.

The registration fee is $ 50. To register, visit bsa.pct.edu. The registration deadline is February 6.
