The PJC is organizing a regional baseball tournament this weekend
When Paris Junior College won the regular-season conference title last weekend, the College became the host of the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Region XIV Regional Baseball Championship Tournament.
Play begins Friday, May 6 at 11:00 a.m. as No. 1 PJC takes on No. 4 Galveston College, and Game 2 at 3:00 p.m. will see No. 2 Alvin Community College take on No. 3 Panola College. Saturday and Sunday matches are also at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with an “if necessary” match scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9.
Tournament passes for all-weekend access are $25 and single-game tickets are $10 each; children 12 and under are free. Passes and tickets are available for pre-order by credit card through the PJC business office at 903-782-0232 until 9 a.m. Friday, May 6. After that, passes and tickets can be purchased by check or cash only one hour before the start of each match. . The complex will be emptied between each game.
