New Delhi, May 20 (IANS): In an effort to further strengthen the business integration of Meta-WhatApp, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the opening of the mobile messaging platform to businesses of all sizes worldwide with the WhatsApp Cloud API (programming interface applications) hosted by the parent company.
With this move, any business or developer can easily access the service, rely directly on WhatsApp to personalize their experience, and speed up their response time to customers using the secure WhatsApp Cloud API.
The company will offer businesses on WhatsApp free and secure cloud hosting services provided by Meta.
“This is an important step to help more businesses connect with people and help more people message the businesses they want to support — big and small,” Zuckerberg said during the talk. the company’s inaugural corporate messaging conference on Thursday evening.
“For our partners, this new service will eliminate costly server expenses and give them instant access to new features,” said Meta’s CEO.
The company said people will control the companies they chat with and companies cannot message people unless they have asked to be contacted.
“We also want to support small businesses with additional tools. We anticipate some SMBs will want to use the cloud-based API, although many will continue to use the WhatsApp Business app,” Zuckerberg said.
Meta is working on advanced features for these businesses to help them manage their operations beyond a few people and further amplify their brand online, such as the ability to manage chats on up to 10 devices so they can better manage an influx of cats.
“We will also provide new customizable WhatsApp chat links to help businesses attract customers through their online presence,” the company said.
