DEAR SUN SPOTS: A while back you listed Goldendoodle breeders in the state. Our family is ready to get a puppy and I would like to review this list. — Joannie, no town
TO RESPOND: One of my family members has a goldendoodle and he is completely adorable, but very frisky/feisty and a lot of work, so be prepared!
Be sure to research the breeder thoroughly and ask lots of questions. Your new pet will be with you for a long time and you want to make an informed decision.
In the Rolodex I have Cuddledoodes at Jay (https://www.cuddlydoodes.com/, [email protected]) that breeds and raises both standard goldendoodles and labradoodles.
Another option is Stonybrook Goldendoodles in Lovell (https://www.stoneybrookgoldendoodles.com/). It has a contact form on its website.
So Lucky Farm in Norridgewock (https://www.soluckyfarmgoldendoodles.com/, [email protected]) also owns the breed of dog you are looking for.
Acadia Goldendoodles https://acadiagoldendoodles.com/ in the Bar Harbor area is another great choice. It has a contact form on its website.
Readers, if you’re a goldendoodle owner, I’d love to hear from you about your experiences with your breeder and your pup!
