The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation has partnered with the Center for Industrial Research and Service, or CIRAS, at Iowa State University to host a free supply chain event from Northwest Iowa to Clay County Regional Events Center on March 22.
“Managing Your Supply Chain During the Time of Chaos” will feature speakers from CIRAS and the ISU Ivy College of Business Supply Chain Management Department. Topics will include managing your supply chain during disruptions, building a resilient supply chain, using total cost of ownership in decision-making, finding new suppliers via supplier sourcing , supply chain risk management and an introduction to Industry 4.0, automation and new technologies.
“The series of recent disruptions to our supply chains have many companies wondering how they can get the situation under control,” said Marc Schneider, project manager at CIRAS. “While there is no magic wand that can instantly fix the situation, this event will provide attendees with a variety of tools and strategies they can use to better manage their current supply chains and build new ones. future more resilient supply chains.”
This event is free. It is funded by a grant in partnership with Northwest Iowa Planning and Development.
