Courtenay Art Gallery Hosts Food Bank Fundraiser – Comox Valley Record

The Spirits of the West Coast Native Art Gallery is rallying once again to help the Comox Valley Food Bank, and this time your donation will go twice as much.

The gallery will match all donations, up to $ 5,000.

Not only that, but anyone who contributes to the food drive will have their name entered into a draw for a $ 250 gift bag of Northwest Coast Indigenous gifts and jewelry.

“At the Spirits of the West Coast Art Gallery, we recognize that these are difficult times for many families,” said Walter Stolting, gallery co-oner. “This year, the addition of flooding, supply chain problems and rising food prices has made access to food even more difficult. We invite all those who are able to give generously, the need is great!

“We are reaching out to the community to support our fundraising and fundraising for the food bank to raise non-perishable food, essentials and monetary donations to help families and children in our community.”

The food drive will run until December 31. Residents are encouraged to come to the Spirits of the West Coast Gallery (2926 Back Rd., Courtenay) with their donation, or to donate cash directly to the Comox Valley Food Bank, via their donation. page at bit.ly/3pS2vXk

“We are grateful to the community for the donations so far, and we are looking to have an even bigger and meaningful impact with this year’s food bank fundraising,” said Stolting.

In addition to supporting your local community, each contributor will be entered into a draw for a gift bag valued at over $ 250.00, consisting of Northwest Coast Indigenous gifts and jewelry. We will draw a lucky winner on Friday, December 31, 2021.
